Mark Packer....better known as "The Packman"...has been working in the sports world for nearly 25 years - either as a Radio/TV broadcaster, or in some business capacity.

"Packman" is probably best known as the radio host of the syndicated "PrimeTime with the Packman" show, which aired in the Carolinas from 1997-2010. The show was the most listened-to sports radio show in the Carolinas, where he won various "Best Of" awards.

Pack decided to leave the program to pursue and control his own sports and broadcasting businesses, which include new radio and television shows in addition to Southern Fried Football™ and other marketing opportunities.

His entrepreneurial flair is one thing that has always made "The Packman" unique in the industry. The Southern Fried Football™ Tour and his ability to syndicate his own programs are just some of the examples of how he created additional revenue streams and broadcast opportunities.

Pack has been heard on multiple national radio platforms such as ESPN Radio, Sporting News and FOX Sports Radio. In January of 2011, after leaving the local Charlotte radio scene, he began hosting "College Basketball Today" on SiriusXM. The show is now called "College Sports Today", and it can be heard daily weekdays on SiriusXM 91.

In 2012, Packman also added a weekly appearance on the nationally syndicated "John Boy & Billy Show". Pack unveiled the "The Southern Fried Football™ Report" on the show, as he broke down the biggest college football games, stories, traditions and match-ups in the South. Packman also included weekly radio appearances on WRFX-FM in Charlotte with the "Packman on Sports" commentaries.

In addition to the daily show on SiriusXM, during the college football season, Pack hosts the SiriusXM Tailgate Show with rotating co-hosts like Eddie George, Gino Torretta, Dan Hawkins, Tim Brown and other stars from the college football world.

In addition to the radio business, Pack has also hosted his own television shows, too. He's currently providing the daily sports commentaries on the 10 o'clock news on WMYT in Charlotte, and he's been doing that since 2004.

Packman hosted the Southern Fried Sports Show, along with the Southern Fried Football™ Show. His television credits include ESPN's "Outside the Lines", ESPN News, Fox Sports and even Court TV.

Due to his love of college football, Packman coined the phrase "Southern Fried Football"™, and turned it into a business. The term and logo are trademarked and the proud property of "The Packman".

Since 1998, Pack has taken his Southern Fried Football™ Tour around the South with his bevy of advertisers and loyal followers. The Tour, website, advertisers, media partners, and radio show have turned a pet project into a profitable company. If you want to know more, log onto www.southernfriedfootball.com.

Before hosting "PrimeTime with the Packman"....Mark was in charge of the radio and tv networks at Clemson University and the University of Maryland. In addition, he was a broadcast consultant for LSU. He later moved to Charlotte, NC where he formed his sports marketing company, Time-Out Sports.

"Packman" is a native of Winston-Salem, N.C. and received a BA degree in economics from Clemson University. Despite growing up in the South, he has a unique appreciation for the Bay Area which includes a total devotion to his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants. Needless to say, Pack is still celebrating the Giants' 2012 World Series championship.

So, there you have it.....entrepreneur, broadcaster, salesman, businessman....and most importantly....happily married to Amie, with two great young daughters (G.G. and Emerson).
