As a public figure, Packman enjoys hosting events and speaking to numerous groups. He has been the host of many of Charlotte's most prominent events such as the "Fight Night for Kids" fundraiser for the Charlotte Sports Commission, the Speedway Childrens Charities black-tie event in May, and the monthly emcee for the Hood Hargett Breakfast Club of America.
