I'm Too Sexy For My Skin

Danica Patrick is a hypocrite.

And that might be the nicest thing I can say about her.

Call me crazy, but I've never been a fan of any athlete that receives tons of coverage and endorsement appeal without actually winning or accomplishing anything to justify the attention.

Danica is on top of the mountain, when it comes to this topic.....nobody else is even on the same track. No disrespect to Tim Tebow, Jeremy Lin or even LeBron.....well, LeBron is pretty close. With a "lucky dog", he might be able to catch her....but he'll need a break.

Danica Patrick has all of one win...one....supposedly somewhere in Japan, years ago. Despite her inability to find Victory Lane even if they allowed her a GPS system in her car, she was the face of the Indy Racing League.

Now she has decided to take her limited driving talents to NASCAR.

Two weeks ago, she met with the media tours and claimed that she had a chance to win the upcoming Daytona 500....she even made reference to the fact that Trevor Bayne won the race in his first try last year, then there's no reason why she couldn't win it this year.

Now the IRL star took aim at the media this past week and their inability to define "sexy".

Patrick had the audacity to chide the media for not knowing how to describe her other than being "sexy". She actually commented that the term has a negative connotation.

WTF?

Patrick continued by stating that when it comes to attractive female athletes, the media only knows how to describe them in a sexual way. She also added that the media should use "pretty" or something without the word "sex" in it.

I guess the bright lights have blurred her vision, or maybe it is a terrible case of short-term memory loss.

Patrick, while still looking for a win on the track in this country, has been the spokesperson for GoDaddy.com.....and in every single ad, Patrick is portrayed as some kind of sex-kitten. Sometimes she wears her leather pants....sometimes in her Daisy Dukes...sometimes in a bikini.....but be sure to go to the website to catch more skin.

I won't even list all the men's magazines she has appeared in, showcasing that famously overrated body.

She has made millions of dollars off of an attempt to be "sexy".....and I have no problem with it. If your driving skills are lacking, and somebody is dumb enough to give that kind of coin to play the role.....go for it.

But what you can't do...is rip the media for trying to portray you for something that you have absolutely accepted and over-hyped. Nobody on the planet thinks of Danica Patrick as a racer...everybody thinks of her as being racy....there's a big difference.

Danica Patrick is a hypocrite....and this year in NASCAR, she will be getting lapped at a track near you. If you need more help finding her, just go to her website.

NC State needs a win in the worst way.

After throwing up all over themselves blowing a 20-point second half lead at Duke, the Pack returned home to get thumped by Florida State.

Now their arch-rivals, the Tar Heels make an appearance in Raleigh on Tuesday. I think Danica Patrick has won more recently than State has beaten the Heels....and that should tell you something.

But the past is past...the Wolfpack needs a win now, if they plan on making it to the NCAA Tourney for the 1st time since 2006.

Over the weekend during State's home loss to FSU, a pair of Wolfpack stars were tossed from the game by an ACC official.

Tom Gugliotta and Chris Corchiani were sitting in the front row, and as the Pack was getting pounded, longtime referee Karl Hess approached the mid-court scorers table and proceeded to have the Wolfpack stars evacuated from their posh seats.

He had apparently heard enough, and he took matters into his hands.

State just had 3 guys foul out in their disappointing Duke loss, and now they watched two of their legendary stars get tossed as fans against the Noles.

I can hear the State fans howling, "Tar Heel refs".

I have no idea what the guys said to the referee, but my biggest problem is that Hess should be held to the same standard as any coach or player following the game. He should have to give his side of the story to the media.

I've said it for years: the refs play as important a role during a game as anybody else. They should also be accountable to describe what they saw and why they made the call....just as a coach or player would do, following a game.

For the record, Hess did not comment about the ejection.

It was embarrassing...for everybody.

That rule should be adopted ASAP....and in the meantime, Mark Gottfried needs a win in the worst way.

The Bobcats finally won a damn game.

After going more than a month between wins, the Charlotte Bobcats snapped their 16-game losing streak by beating Toronto north of the border.

Thank goodness.

The streak was getting to be comical.

I also couldn't help but laugh while checking out the front page of the local newspaper that Michael Jordan wants to change the image and brand of the franchise.

Hey, Mike....what have you been doing all this time?

Jordan even threw the previous management under the bus by claiming that " the former owner let things slip".

Wow...nice assist, MJ...and it was a no-look pass, too.

I guess it was Bob Johnson's fault the team is 4-26 heading into the week, too.

I hate to say it but this franchise has MJ's fingerprints all over it.....he is the owner....and this is his team.

But I just hope we don't go a month between wins anytime soon.

You can thank me later.....but if you haven't seen the post-fight presser after the Vatali Klitschko - Dereck Chisora match, then you need to find it.

Vince McMahon had to be jealous....same goes for Don King.

The fiasco that took place involving Chisora and another boxer, David Haye, was pure promotion gold.

I don't know when or where Chisora and Haye will get together, but you can put me down as a spectator. Neither guy is good enough to be the heavyweight champ, but there is so much angst and disgust between the two, that it has to be an entertaining fight.
